Optoelectronic Assembly Technician

Position:

  • Reports to Director of Technical Systems

Position Description:

We are looking for a motivated Optoelectronic Assembly Technician to work as part of a team to Manufacture and test optoelectronic devices, subassemblies, and components.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and assemble small and delicate opto-mechanical components under optical microscope.
  • Operate coating chambers and photo-lithography equipment in clean room.
  • Operate automated dicing equipment.
  • Performing wire bonds (Wedge/ball) on various optoelectronic devices.
  • Measure performance of opto-mechanical devices using Optical spectrum analyzer, optical power meter, multi-meter, and etc according to written procedures.
  • Practice necessary safety and security techniques.

Skill Requirements:

  • Experience in assembly or test of optoelectronic components such as lasers, optical fiber subassemblies, and electronic devices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to fluently read and follow written work instructions.
  • Familiarity with personal computers and applications such as Excel and Word.
