Marketing Associate

Reports to Senior Marketing Manager
Position Description:
We are looking for a motivated marketing associate to be a key member of the Ahura Scientific marketing team. Primary responsibilities will include writing and editing of sales and marketing materials for safety and security markets, as well as involvement in corporate marketing efforts. This role requires an organized team player who can work in a fast-paced environment with internal and external resources, and play a hands-on role in executing marketing communications activities. The marketing associate will be a key player on the marketing team, helping us meet aggressive corporate growth goals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Editorial
- With marketing managers, write and manage development of compelling marketing and sales support materials
- Assist with corporate editorial review and reinforcement of corporate and product messaging across the organization
- Work closely with marketing manager and product management to coordinate content and ensure consistent messaging.
- Support international partners with content and messaging
- Execute basic layout and revision for existing materials
- Serve as liaison with external graphic designers for new projects
- Assist with website content updates
- Be an effective member of a cross-functional team with product management, sales, engineering and marketing
- Provide additional support and participation in marketing team efforts as needed
Skill Requirements:
- Solid writing and editorial skills; able to quickly and concisely communicate complex topics for a variety of audiences
- Extremely proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; basic knowledge of Publisher, Quark, InDesign preferred
- Well organized and good with time management
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize numerous projects in various states of development
- Self-starter with strong work ethic, enthusiasm and ability to energize others
- Familiarity/use of SalesLogix is a plus
Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with minimum of 3 years marketing communications experience, preferably in an entrepreneurial pre-IPO culture.
Education BA/BS Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Sciences.
