Laser Subsystems
Ahura Scientific offers a line of miniature high-performance lasers for Raman spectroscopy, emphasizing high wavelength and power stability, high efficiency and small footprint. The company offers multimode and single mode systems with free-space or fiber coupling, available in hermetic butterfly packages or as complete subsystems.

Single Mode and Multimode DFB laser product line
Ahura Scientific has developed a new line of high power single mode, single frequency DFB lasers for scientific and industrial applications. Lasers are available at various wavelengths between 760 and 1080 nm at powers up to 400mW. These lasers feature narrow linewidths of <10MHz and linewidths in the 10KHz range are possible as an option. SMSR is >- 40dB and operating temperature range is -40C to 85C. Both fiber coupled and free space package options are available.
Scientific and industrial applications include trace gas sensing, atomic clocks, Raman spectroscopy, confocal microscopy, fiber laser seeding, imaging and THz spectroscopy. The DFB lasers are well-suited for medical, biomedical and analytical instrumentation due to their robust construction and reliability. For higher power applications an array of DFB lasers can be packaged together, offering a broader spectrum and higher power. These multimode lasers have typical power of 500 mW and linewidths in the 0.03 nm to 0.12 nm range. They are ideal for Raman spectroscopy and can be used as a laser pump source. Small size butterfly packages and low power consumption make these lasers ideal for portable and handheld applications.

ECL-LSS-785-325 785 nm cavity stabilized laser subsystem
Ultra-stable, high spectral fidelity laser subsystem based on patented external cavity technology. This UL-qualified multimode laser is in mass production and features up to 400mW of output power. The power is user adjustable and is internally cooled by a TEC to assure stability. The unit features an FC connector for easy fiber coupling of the output light. The low power consumption and small footprint make it ideal for portable applications.

Ultra-stable, high spectral fidelity, high resolution laser subsystem with a typical FWHM line width of 0.03nm.

ECL-LSS 0.03 785-100 SM 785 nm cavity stabilized single mode laser subsystem
Ultra-stable, high spectral fidelity single mode laser subsystem designed for Raman microscopy with 100 mW of single transverse mode power.
Broadband Sources
Ahura Scientific has a novel high power and broad bandwidth source capability. These sources have set the benchmark for power-bandwidth for a semiconductor device and open the door for low-cost, high-resolution portable OCT imaging and new extended bandwidth Raman amplifiers for telecommunication.
Raman Amplifiers
Ahura Scientific has pioneered the use of broadband incoherent sources for Raman amplification in the long distance telecommunication network. The Series 100 Raman Gain Module (RGM) is a revolutionary development utilizing broadband semiconductors rather than lasers as the pump lightsource. Broadband incoherent sources offer many advantages over conventional laser pumps including: superior gain ripple performance; simplified solutions to polarization dependent gain; and lower system Q penalties.
